Shaver Lake Recreational Trail (SLRT) and Park Project in the Shaver Lake area
This project is pending, based on community support, grants, donations and County approval. If you are interested in learning more or contributing, please contact us for more information.
The SLRT committee was awarded a grant through the RTCA-NPS (Rivers, Trails Conservation Assistance) program to produce the below Concept Plan for the development of a Class One multi-use paved trail system and park in the Shaver Lake area. This conceptual plan does not describe the exact locations or types of amenities to be constructed, nor does it include detailed budgets or engineered plans for specific features. It is considered a tool to convey a vision for a trail network in the Shaver Lake area. This plan is a living document to be updated as required. It serves as a tool that will guide the planning, design, fundraising, construction and maintenance of the proposed trail network. Shaver Lake Recreational Trail (SLRT) is a conceptual trail plan that aims to create convenient and safe trailheads with parking, trash receptacles, and restrooms with trails that connect the entire Shaver Lake Community separate from Hwy 168.

Imagine Your Park
Help Shape Shaver Lake’s Future Nature Park
The SLRT Committee is exploring plans for a community nature park on approximately 50 acres behind the Shaver Lake Post Office—and we want it to reflect the needs and ideas of the people who will use it.
Your input will help guide the park’s design and support SLRT’s application for California’s Statewide Park Development and Community Revitalization Program grant.
Please share your ideas for the amenities, activities, and features that would make this a special place for the Shaver Lake community.
If you have questions or want to get involved, please email us at info@slrt.org
